  • Adult female alterna, collected while crossing the highway 2 miles W of Langtry, June 1972, by Wayne Seifert. A large adult when found, this snake was donated to the Dallas Zoo immediately after capture. She was one of the first to breed in a zoo anywhere, starting in 1977 and breeding annually until she passed away in 1984. Photographed at the Dallas Zoo in 1980 by David G. Barker.
